PSG want Ajax’s Mika Godts. The Belgian has been seen in Porto negotiating with the Parisian giants amidst Premier League interest.
The Ligue 1 and Champions League holders’ technical director, Luis Campos, was spotted in Portugal with the talented wide player. However, the Amsterdam club are reportedly looking to make the most of this potential transfer.
PSG missed out on Yan Diomande and may sell Bradley Barcola to Liverpool, but the French club aren’t the only suitor. So, Ajax can charge a premium for the 21-year-old who registered a stunning 17 goals and 13 assists in 34 Eredivisie games last season.
Liverpool, Arsenal, Manchester United, and Tottenham Hotspur are all interested, to varying degrees, in the Premier League. Godts is currently valued at around 60 million euros (£51 million) and is under contract until 2029.
Ajax technical director Jordi Cruyff publicly reinforced the club’s stance this weekend. “Ultimately, players like Godts will leave, but only at the right time and for the right price,” Cruyff told De Telegraaf.
“We want to keep him in Amsterdam for at least another year. He is not for sale and otherwise will be very difficult to buy.”
