Diego Coppola (22) has completed a permanent transfer to Paris FC. The Italy international spent the second half of last season on loan at the Ligue 1 club.
Coppola joined Paris FC on loan from Brighton back in January. He would make 14 appearances for Les Parisiens, firstly under Stéphane Gilli and then under Antoine Kombouaré. However, it was uncertain whether his stay at the Stade Jean Bouin would be extended beyond the summer.
His move, however, has now been confirmed. The Italian joins from Brighton and Hove Albion for an undisclosed fee. It has been reported by L’Équipe that the Premier League side will receive €20m in the deal.
The centre-back has signed a five-year deal with the Ligue 1 club. Next season, Coppola will play under a third manager at Paris FC. It is Liam Rosenior, who, of course, has historic links to Brighton, who has taken the role at the Stade Jean Bouin.
