BCB After Dark continues to be a vibrant gathering space for Cubs fans, providing a platform for discussions about baseball and more. This week, the conversation centers on the implications of securing either the first or third Wild Card spot in the playoffs, a topic that has sparked interest among fans.

Last week, the community weighed in on the National League Rookie of the Year, with a significant majority favoring Sal Stewart of the Reds, who garnered 71% of the votes. JJ Wetherholt from St. Louis followed with 21%, indicating a clear preference among fans for Stewart's performance this season.

In addition to baseball, BCB After Dark also embraces cultural discussions, including music and film. As the 100th anniversary of jazz legend John Coltrane approaches, fans are encouraged to reflect on his impact, particularly through his acclaimed album 'A Love Supreme.'

The evening also paid tribute to the late designer Bob Mackie, who passed away at 87. Mackie's contributions to the entertainment industry, especially his iconic designs for stars like Cher and Carol Burnett, were highlighted, showcasing the often-overlooked role of costume designers in shaping pop culture.
