paiN Esports Promotes Tatu as Part of Roster Overhaul

paiN Esports has officially announced the promotion of Lucas "Tatu" Santana from their academy team to the main roster, replacing Guilherme "piriajr" Barbosa. This decision comes on the heels of a lackluster season start, which saw the team exit the BLAST Open Porto and Stake Ranked Episode 3 in last place, as well as an early exit from the Esports World Cup.

The move follows the recent benching of Vinicius "vsm" Moreira, who was also replaced by an academy player, Rickson "Rkzinho" Ribeiro Dias. The changes reflect paiN's strategy to revitalize the team dynamics after a series of disappointing performances. Rodrigo "biguzera" Bittencourt previously expressed concerns about team trust, stating that the squad no longer feels cohesive.

Tatu, a seasoned player with over two years in the paiN Academy, is expected to bring stability to the lineup. Meanwhile, Rkzinho's promotion is backed by his recognition in the HLTV Prospects ranking, where he debuted at 49th place. With these changes, paiN aims to improve their competitive standing and regain their form in the esports arena.
